Shri Maa Ramachandi is the divine Shakti worshipped and established by Lord Rama, the epitome of righteousness. She embodies the three Gunas (qualities) - Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas - manifesting as Maha Saraswati, Maha Lakshmi, and Maha Kali. The character of this Shakti is described in the Durga Saptashati Chandi as the threefold form, revealed through the sacred Saptashati Chandi Patha.
Naming
As this divine Shakti was established and worshipped by Shri Rama, she came to be known as
Shri Maa Ramachandi and this sacred place became known as
Ramachandi Shaktipeetha.
